PAGEANT season is back with a punch!
Now in its 13th year, the Miss Philippines USA pageant takes off with the unprecedented addition of Mister Philippines USA. Headed by pageant organizer and producer Lou Razon, the Miss Philippines USA organization produces the longest-running Filipino American beauty pageant in the U.S. According to Lou Razon, the organization’s mission is to discover and develop young women and now men to be ambassadors of goodwill who are confident, intelligent, compassionate and who are driven towards living a purposeful life.
According to Monet Lu, the chairman of the Board of Judges for Mister Philippines USA, some of the organization’s missions are to promote inclusivity, the diverse cultures of the Philippines and the rich culture and heritage of Filipino Americans. The inclusion of a search for men who are not only good-looking, but also talented, motivated and driven will elevate the Filipino American pageant industry. The candidates will promote the positive image of Filipino Americans and they will serve as role models for young Filipino Americans and the whole community as well.
This year’s pageant includes candidates not only from Northern and Southern California, but also from various states including Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Texas. Coming from diverse backgrounds, and educational and professional experiences, this year’s combination of candidates certainly makes for a thrilling and exhilarating extravaganza.
Miss Philippines USA 2024 hopefuls include Alyssa Agustin of Oakland, Keziah Atendido of Dublin, Chrislynn Barroga of Honolulu, Hawaii, Dalisay Caver of San Jose, Jade Espiritu of Santa Clarita, Chloe Go of San Diego, Audrey Jeltema of Ladera Ranch, Lara Mercurio of Orange County, Jianni Miller of Porter Ranch, Jasmine Mizrahi of Hollywood Hills, Elisha Price of Arcadia, Chloe Reyes of Rowland Heights, Mazel Sia of Apple Valley, Keilin Tamkianco of Sacramento and Alyson Ubungen of Houston, Texas.
This pageant also opens new doors and possibilities for young women candidates in the Miss Young Phlippines USA category that includes Chloe Barr of Henderson, Nevada, Grace Hernandez of Thousand Oaks, Ella Kedileri of Northridge, Katie Nate of Corona, Giselle Olmos of Eastvale, Briella Paris of Bullhead City, Samantha Pennell of Murrietta, Portia Rossi of Santa Monica, Ilana Sales of Riverside, Chloe Smith of Torrance, Melanie Stokes of New York, Cristen Subia of Chino HIlls and Athena Usac of Sacramento.
The first candidates of the newly launched Mister Philippines USA include Ralph Corcino of Anaheim, Jey Bersales of Carson, Andrew Ernacio of Carson, Joseph Kabiling of San Diego, Dorian Mendoza of Woodland Hills, Kyle Tiglao of San Diego, Rosevee Tisoy of Rowland Heights and Zachery Tolentino of Temecula.

Pageant week started with the following events: Fashion for a Cause and Swimsuit competition, a preliminary competition held on Sunday, July 21 at the Imperial Event Venue at in Pasadena, followed by the 2nd round of the Talent Competition on Wednesday, July 24 at La Bella Pinseria at 309 N. Central Ave, Ste. 4, in Glendale, CA 91203 starting at 7 p.m.
