City of San Diego offers a ghoulishly good time with Halloween events at local recreation centers

Candy, costume contests and spooky movies among free options for families to enjoy

SAN DIEGO – It’s the “ghost” wonderful time of the year, and the City of San Diego is hosting a variety of fun and hair-raising Halloween activities at local recreation centers. There will be something for everyone, and residents are encouraged to bring family and friends for spooky fun this Halloween.

Attendees are encouraged to dig up their creepiest costumes and visit select recreation centers throughout the city offering candy, games, movies and other tricks and treats for little ghosts and goblins to enjoy.

The participating recreation centers will also feature a fall version of this summer’s popular Parks After Dark events, activating local parks with Halloween-themed activities for all ages. Parks After Dark events are funded using a grant from the County of San Diego and the San Diego Parks Foundation.

Events are free or require a minimal cost and are open to everyone. To view a full list of dates, times and locations, visit sandiego.gov/parks-and-recreation.
