Actress Meryll Soriano has agreed to her father’s—TV host Willie Revillame—request to manage his business, the Wil Tower Mall in Quezon City.  At present Meryll is managing a hotel in Tagaytay which is also owned by her father.

In an interview with PEP.ph, Meryll said, “Nag-usap na kami bago ako umalis at saka pagdating ko from London.  Kaya masayang-masaya ako.  Pumayag na ako kasi ready naman na ako.”

She also added that she ready.  “It’s important for me to be with my father, to learn whatever he wants to teach me.  I mean, he’s gonna be the best teacher for me. And I’m ready to learn.”

Meryll was the first one to get in touch with Willie, she said.  After the initial contact, the actress then went to visit her father to bring him a copy of her photography book, Playground London.

For now, Meryll has decided to set aside her studies in London, now that she said yes to manage Willie’s business.

Speaking of Willie Revillame, news has it that comedian and Eat Bulaga! host Joey de Leon is helping him revive his game show, this time on GMA 7.  It was also reported that newscaster Mike Enriquez is supporting the idea.

Joey, who in the past has had his share of disagreements with Willie, also added that the Eat Bulaga! “dabarkads” will help promote the show, which is said to be airing in the early evening timeslot.

Willie’s show Wowowee on ABS-CBN was a big hit then.  After leaving the Kapamilya network, he transferred to TV5 this time with Wil Big Time, then changing it to Wowowillie in October 2013.

Although nothing’s set on stone and all are just casual plans, Joey hopes that GMA 7 would take this opportunity to revive Willie’s career.  Let’s see how this story develops.

Is Batangas Governor and Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos-Recto planning to run in 2016?  Rumors say that because of her untarnished and impeccable track record, politicians are scrambling to invite her to run as Vice President.

In an interview with Ricky Lo, Vilma clarified that she has not received any offers to run for a higher position.  She, however, admitted that local officials in Lipa City, Batangas, have asked her to serve again.

Being the first lady mayor of Lipa, (and a good one), Vilma said that she has been approached by barangay captains and said that they need her to lead them again.  She said that she is keeping her options open on this matter.

Pag-aaralan ko muna.  Lagi kong sinasabing hindi ganoon kadali ang magsilbi talaga.  If it’s meant to be (okay).  Maraming salamat sa mga Lipenos,” she said in an interview with Yahoo Philippines.

People are also asking if her son, actor-host Luis Manzano is considering politics in his future, particularly running for Lipa mayor.  For this matter, Vilma said that he is letting Luis decide and she will be there to support him.

You can do something sa mga tao. Yon ang pinakabayad.
