2026 FEAST OF SANTO NIŇO

January 18 @ 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Santo Niño: Our Source of Feast, Family and Faith

On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 3:30 pm, a mass sponsored by Santo Niño Cruzada will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels to celebrate its 39th annual solemn Feast of Santo Niño, the Divine Infant Jesus. The pre-liturgy procession begins at 3:00pm. Weather permitting, there will be Sinulog performances at the cathedral plaza at 2:00pm and after the mass.

The main celebrant is Reverend Fr. Crespo A. Lape, MJ, Pastor of the twin parish, Precious Blood Church and St. Kevin Church, in Los Angeles of Our Lady of the Angels Pastoral Region. Fr. Chris is from Cebu, Philippines.

The Philippines oldest Catholic icon, the Santo Niño, is known for His miracles and people’s devotions that transcend religions. The Feast of the Holy Child is a celebration that honors not only the image of the Christ Child. It is a day that holds and draws people together in joyous gatherings that displays their faithful devotion through colorful parades, energetic dances and heartfelt prayers. It is also a cultural spectacle that showcases rich traditions and strong community bonds that reflects a collective spirit of gratitude and reverence.

Although the devotion to the Divine Infant has roots in Europe, Filipino immigrants brought their Santo Niño to the United States to be their spiritual recourse, assistance, and protector. Our forefathers have gone through sacrifices, struggles, and defeats but the presence of our Father in the image of Santo Niño helped as thrive and develop our Catholic faith.
