Landmark stock market listing draws international investors and more than 140,000 GCash users, expanding public participation in the country’s digital finance sector

MANILA — Mynt Inc., the parent company of GCash, raised ₱60.9 billion in the largest initial public offering in Philippine stock market history, marking a milestone for the country’s expanding digital financial services industry.

The company made its debut on the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on October 20, 2026, under the trading symbol GCASH. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. attended the ceremonial listing, which surpassed the previous IPO record established by food manufacturer Monde Nissin in 2021.

At its offering price of ₱6.60 per share, Mynt was valued at approximately ₱441.5 billion, making it the seventh-largest domestic company on the exchange at the time of listing.

The offering attracted institutional investors from the Philippines and overseas, including funds associated with BlackRock, Citadel and Fidelity International.

Retail participation was also substantial. According to the PSE, 140,725 GCash users invested approximately ₱1.1 billion through GStocks PH, a stock-trading service accessible through the GCash application.

The platform enabled eligible users to subscribe to IPO shares through their mobile phones, with a minimum initial subscription of 100 shares, equivalent to ₱660 at the offering price.

The ₱60.9-billion offering included newly issued shares, shares sold by existing investors and an overallotment portion. Approximately ₱10.6 billion in gross proceeds came from newly issued shares, while proceeds from the sale of existing shares went to selling shareholders.

Mynt said the capital raised for the company would support the expansion of its digital financial services, product development and general corporate operations.

Backed by Globe Telecom, Ant Group and Ayala Corp., Mynt operates a financial services platform offering electronic payments, money transfers, lending, savings, investment and insurance products.

The company reported 41.5 million monthly active users during the second quarter of 2026, reflecting the scale of its operations in a country where digital financial services have become increasingly integrated into everyday transactions.

Mynt President and Chief Executive Officer Martha Sazon said nearly 90 percent of GCash customers came from low- and middle-income households, describing financial inclusion as a central part of the company’s business.

Mynt also reported revenue of ₱43.27 billion for the first half of 2026, an increase of 10.4 percent from the corresponding period a year earlier. Net income rose 7.3 percent to ₱10.82 billion during the same period.
