Sogo Cares program of HotelSogo supports Oplan Mayon: Save Humanity, a three- day relief operation and medical mission conducted in Brgy. Anoling and Brgy. Tagaytay Camalig, Albay last March 16-18, 2018 with the help of 105 volunteers from different organizations. Almost 800 families benefited from this activity.
The Oplan Mayon: Save Humanity program, aims to give immediate assistance to the victims of Mt. Mayon volcanic eruptions who are living in remote areas by providing relief goods, free medical and dental check- ups and free medicines and vitamins.
Oplan Mayon Save Humanity is composed of different organizations with the same goal: Hotel Sogo; Rotary Club Pasay Sinagtala; Binangonan for a Cause; Malasakit in Humanity; The Madrigal Foundation; Psychological First Aid (PFA) ; Project Care; Krusada; Department of Health Region 5 (DOHR5) ; National Housing Authority (NHA) ; Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ; Tactical Operation Group 5 (TOG5); Philippine National Police (PNP); and the local government units. The Armed Forces of the Philippines – Philippine Air Force (PAF) provided C130 for the transportation of the volunteers.
Sogo Cares is the Hotel Sogo’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program that focuses on providing immediate relief and care to victims of calamities like floods, earthquakes and drought They also support various foundations and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).
