Too much DEBT? Think of Daniel Chapter 3

DEBT problems can become a recurring nightmare for debtors who think they can handle debt problems by themselves. I have told you many times before that if you have debt problems you must rely on the one true God, my God, the God of Moses and Israel, who sent His only and Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, Who willingly suffered and died on the cross to redeem us from the consequences of sin and Who became man through the Blessed Virgin Mary, to us because He loves us so, in order that we may have eternal life with Them in heaven. It is the blood of Jesus Christ that washes away our sins and enables us to have eternal life. It is because Jesus is God that He can do this. No matter how talented, rich or good we are, we are nothing and we have no power to save ourselves. It is because God loves us and His son Jesus died for us that we have value. So, you must pray to our God to help you resolve your debt problems and to put you and your family on solid financial footing.
Jesus resurrected His friend Lazarus and the daughter of the widow of Nain. Both had been dead for several days. Jesus resurrected on the third day after His death on the cross!
Chapter 3 of the book of Daniel talks about king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who is credited with making the hanging gardens of Babylon. Babylon is Iran. Nebuchadnezzar made a big golden statue of himself. He gathered all the big shots of Babylon for the dedication of his gold statue. Then a herald announced that once the music played, everyone must fall down and worship the statue. Those who refused would be burned in the furnace immediately.
Three Jews, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused to do so. Let’s just call them Shad, Mesh and Abe. Someone informed the king that Shad, Mesh and Abe had broken the law and they should be burned. Perhaps this is where Hitler got the idea of burning Jews in the furnace.
Nebuchadnezzar commanded that the three Jews be brought before him. He asked them if it was true that they did not worship the gold statue. Shad, Mesh and Abe admitted it was true because they worship only the one true God, Yahweh, the God of Moses and Israel. The king gave them another chance to worship the statue once the music played, or they would be cast into the burning furnace, and “who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?”
Shad, Mesh and Abe answered the king that if God desired it, they would be saved from the flames, and if not, they still would not worship the statue.
So, Nebuchadnezzar full of fury commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than it was heated and commanded his strongest soldiers to throw Shad, Mesh and Abe into the furnace.
The three men “fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.” Then Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and said to his counselors, “Did not we cast three men into the midst of the fire? But Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Blessed be the God of Shad, Mesh and Abe Who hath sent His angel, and delivered His servants that trust in Him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.”
“Therefore, I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shad, Mesh and Abe, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill (this is much worse than foreclosure): because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.”
