Talking about a new start, I wrote about the recent wedding of actor Jericho “Echo” Gonzales to model Kim Jones. The two lovebirds tied the knot at a beach wedding in the beautiful island of Boracay over Labor Day weekend. Echo is now the lead star of ABS-CBN’s teleserye The Legal Wife, and is also a star in a Malaysian TV show, Kusinero Cinta.
For some, starting to love again after a failed relationship is slow. It is hard to open one’s heart to someone, and it is just wise to proceed with caution.
After his break up with his boyfriend, Vice Ganda seemed to have moved on. In an interview with The Buzz 15 last May 18, he shared how it started with his ex, and how it ended.
“Nag-meet kami, common friends…sige na nga, nanood ako ng game,” he said when asked how they met. “Nanood ako ng game. Magaling naman talaga. Pero kaibi-kaibigan lang. Tapos napunta sila ng Showtime, nanood sila. Nag-chikahan.”
Vice also shared that they became friends first, and that the guy actually found him to be pretty. Sadly, it had their relationship came to an end. It was a mutual decision, he said, adding that, “the only way to keep him is to let him go.”
And he did let go, and they are now good friends. He also said that he wishes his ex-boyfriend all the luck. For now, Vice shared that he his eye on someone new, but is taking it slow.
During that same interview, it was almost like co-host and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino can actually relate to Vice Ganda’s experience. (Kris, along with actress/host Toni Gonzaga have returned to the revamped showbiz talk show ng ABS-CBN The Buzz 15, with Boy Abunda).
After her failed marriage to basketball player James Yap, it was a tumultuous ride of annulment and custody cases for them. In the end, the two came to a mutual agreement and forgiveness for the sake of their child, Bimby.
Kris was also briefly involved with former actor and now Quezon City Mayor Herbert “Bistek” Bautista. After news came out accusing Bistek of still being in a relationship with the mother of his kids, the (unconfirmed) relationship between him and Kris came to an end quickly, with Kris saying that they are still “good friends.” She also shared, “James is happy, she is happy and the most important thing, Bimb is happy.”
At present, Kris said that someone makes her happy, but she has decided to keep that person in her heart.
Other showbiz personalities that are seen together but have yet to confirm (or deny) their romantic involvement with each other are:
• Young actress Kim Chiu and actor Xian Lim (who is from the Bay Area) – The Kapamilya actress has recently denied the news that has been circulating on social media that she and Xian are officially a couple. According to Kim’s Instagram follower, she personally met the couple in Subic and said that Xian admitted that he can’t pursue any other girl because he has already an understanding with Kim.
• Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo and actor Matteo Guidicelli – Although Sarah has been linked to fellow stars in the past, it was mostly “possibilities” rather than actual relationships. This, they say, may be due to the singer’s strict parents and her trying to be the obedient daughter. But lately, the news about her and Matteo seem to have more truth and seriousness to it that the “possibility” is becoming into being a “potential.”
