TV host credits actor with efforts to resolve reported disagreement following wedding reception
MANILA — Television host Robi Domingo said he and actor John Lloyd Cruz have resolved their differences following reports of a confrontation at the December 2025 wedding reception of actors Ria Atayde and Zanjoe Marudo.
Domingo confirmed the reconciliation during an October 20 appearance on GMA Network’s Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. When host Boy Abunda expressed relief that the two had settled their differences, Domingo replied, “Yes, yes. We’re good.”
Domingo characterized the earlier disagreement as unintentional but did not elaborate on its circumstances. He said Cruz had contacted managers at Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent-management arm, to help resolve the matter.
He added that the issue had also been settled within their circle of friends.
“And doon sa circle of friends namin, okay na. All is well,” Domingo said.
Reports of an alleged confrontation emerged in January after entertainment commentator and talent manager Ogie Diaz recounted an account of an exchange between the two at Atayde and Marudo’s December 22, 2025 church wedding reception.
According to Diaz’s account, the disagreement reportedly involved a remark Domingo made while hosting the celebration. The precise exchange and circumstances surrounding the alleged encounter have not been independently established.
In a January 16 interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal, Domingo neither confirmed nor denied the reported incident, saying his main concern was that the newlyweds and their families were satisfied with the celebration.
Atayde, speaking to ABS-CBN News in January, said she had been unaware of any disturbance.
“If something happened between them, they kept it away from me,” she said. “It wasn’t something that disrupted the event or anything.”
