Actress-host responds to months of online concern and urges regular checkups without disclosing a diagnosis

MANILA — Anne Curtis has reassured supporters that she is doing well while choosing to keep details of her health private, following months of online concern over what some viewers described as swelling on her neck.

Curtis addressed the issue during an Aug. 15 contract-signing event for Zion Philippines, where reporters asked about fans’ health concerns.

“It’s not something I’d like to talk about,” Curtis said, adding that she preferred to keep what she is going through private. Her message to concerned supporters was simple: “Just know that I’m okay.”

Curtis did not identify an illness or disclose a diagnosis. Although speculation about the apparent swelling has circulated online, no specific medical condition has been confirmed by Curtis.

The discussion dates to February, when photos from a Feb. 1 appearance on “ASAP” prompted comments from viewers who said they noticed swelling on her neck. Curtis did not publicly address the speculation at the time.

In her latest remarks, the actress and “It’s Showtime” host shifted the focus to preventive care. She said she undergoes annual health checkups and began having comprehensive examinations while still in her 30s.

Curtis urged people to be attentive to changes in their bodies and to regard regular medical checkups as part of maintaining their health as they age.

The actress, who remains active in television, film and endorsements, offered no further details. Her public message was deliberately restrained: she is doing well, but the circumstances surrounding her health are something she intends to keep private.
