Philippine Consul General graces Hudyaka sa Chicago 2026

Consul General Melanie Rita B. Diano, accompanied by Cultural Officer Mary Joy Duran-Mortel and Protocol Officer Martyn Asker Orcine, graced the Hudyaka sa Chicago 2026 event organized by the Zamboanga del Norte Association in Illinois (ZAMNAI) on 01 August 2026 at the Labagh Woods Forest Preserve in Chicago, Illinois.

During the event, Consul General Diano acknowledged the remarkable contributions of ZAMNAI, highlighting its growth into one of the most outstanding Filipino-American organizations in the Midwest. In recognition of their dedication and service, the Consul General presented a Plaque of Recognition to ZAMNAI in celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Establishment of Philippine-United States Diplomatic Relations. The award was received by ZAMNAI President Joshua Bicoy.

ZAMNAI President Bicoy also presented a Plaque of Appreciation to Consul General Diano for her hard work and support to their organization.
