The Philippine Nurses Association of Southern California announced that its Tala ng Kalinga team has been named the recipient of the 2026 DAISY Team Award by the Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc. Awards Committee.
The national recognition honors the team’s work in advancing health equity, mental health awareness, community engagement and compassionate service. PNASC said the award reflects the collective efforts of its members, faculty, volunteers, health care professionals and community partners who have supported initiatives promoting accessible mental health education and culturally responsive care.
The award will be presented on July 18, 2026, during the gala event of the 47th PNAA Annual National Convention in Colorado Springs.
PNASC expressed gratitude to the organizations, institutions and community partners that supported Tala ng Kalinga, saying the recognition belongs not only to the association but also to the broader community committed to compassion, service, equity and meaningful action in health care.
