| Las Vegas, NV – In celebration of National Voter Registration Day, the Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) will visit Shadow Ridge High School to help eligible high school seniors register to vote. The event is part of a nationwide, nonpartisan effort to increase voter participation, especially among young, first-time voters.
The voter registration drive will take place at Shadow Ridge High School on Tuesday, September 16th, and Wednesday, September 17th, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, where students who are 17 and turning 18 by Election Day—or already 18—can register with the assistance of trained volunteers.
Special guests, including the Nevada Secretary of State and local school board trustee members, are also invited to attend and support the event, highlighting the importance of civic engagement in our schools and communities.
National Voter Registration Day is celebrated annually in September, typically on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Since its inception in 2012, it has helped more than 5 million Americans register to vote. This year’s initiative comes at a critical time as the 2026 elections approach, and voter engagement among youth remains a vital component of a healthy democracy.
