Philippine Airlines (PAL) was recognized as the Best Employer Brand 2024 at the recently concluded LinkedIn Talent Awards for the Philippines.
The Philippine flag carrier earned the prestigious award in recognition for its efforts in creating a high-performing work force and service culture that engages meaningfully with millions of customers traveling on its global flight network.
In addition, PAL was honored as one of the finalists for the Learning Champion award category, demonstrating the airline’s achievements in the learning and development of its work force of more than 6,000 personnel.
“At Philippine Airlines, our steadfast mandate has been to build a high-performance employee culture so that we can attract, develop and engage a truly dynamic and innovative team that extends Buong Pusong Alaga (wholehearted care) to our valued customers at every stage of their travel experience across our network,” said Captain Stanley K. Ng, PAL President & Chief Operating Officer.
“We are deeply grateful for the affirmation demonstrated by this double victory as LinkedIn’s Best Employer Brand as well as Top Finalist for Learning Champion of 2024. The recognition inspires us to continue investing in our incredible team to empower them with an environment of excellence and continuous learning,” added Captain Ng.
Among other people programs, the airline inaugurated the PAL Multiversity in 2023, its corporate learning space, that offers holistic professional and personal development to all employees, based on the 70-20-10 developmental model.
PAL bagged the double honors for the LinkedIn Talent Awards category of business enterprises with 5,000 to 10,000 employees.
These LinkedIn accolades are the latest in a series of awards and recognitions earned by PAL in recent years.
In 2023, PAL emerged as one of the top-ranked airlines for customer service in the Philippine Best Customer Service survey of almost 11,000 Philippine-based consumers conducted by PDI/Statista.
In January 2024, PAL clinched the top spot as Asia-Pacific’s most punctual airline, registering an on-time-performance rating of 86.85% in Cirium’s globally recognized airline reliability tracking reports.
