MCDONALD’S has partnered with the hit anime series “‘Jujutsu Kaisen” to launch a new Special Grade Garlic Sauce, available exclusively on the McDonald’s App starting July 9. This new sauce is inspired by the iconic Black Garlic Sauce from McDonald’s Japan, featuring a blend of garlic and soy with a slight tangy sweetness.
During a recent tasting event, YouTube cooking sensation Alvin Zhou showcased various ways to enjoy this new garlic sauce with McDonald’s classics. The McNuggets paired with the special garlic sauce and honey was a surprising favorite, offering a delightful soy honey garlic taste. Another hit was the crispy chicken fillet and fries combo, which provided both taste and texture.
The Special Grade Garlic Sauce packaging features eight unique lid designs starring fan-favorite characters from “‘Jujutsu Kaisen,” including Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo. Collecting these lids is a fun way for fans to engage with their favorite characters while enjoying their meals.
Fans can enjoy the Special Grade Garlic Sauce for free with any order of Chicken McNuggets or pair it with their go-to order on the McDonald’s App. Each purchase also unlocks a 30-day free trial of Crunchyroll, perfect for catching up on episodes of “‘Jujutsu Kaisen” and other favorite anime content.
