DESCRIPTION:By Ellen Rodriguez-Swing \nCERRITOS\, Calif. — Filipino American History Month is getting a flavorful Southern California celebration as UbeFest returns Oct. 3 and 4\, 2026\, for its second FAHM celebration at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts parking lot\, 12700 Center Court Drive in Cerritos. \nPresented by UbeFest LLC in partnership with the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Cerritos and Gateway Cities (FAC3)\, the free two-day festival invites families\, food lovers\, entrepreneurs\, artists\, performers and community groups from throughout Southern California to come together for a celebration of Filipino culture. \nUbeFest began with one of the Philippines’ most beloved flavors but has grown into more than a food festival. This year\, ube shares the spotlight with mango following UbeFest LLC’s MangoFest launch in August 2026\, adding another distinctly Filipino favorite to the weekend. \nFestivalgoers can explore Filipino dishes\, ube-inspired desserts and specialties\, local vendors\, live entertainment\, cultural performances\, family activities and community organizations while discovering and supporting Filipino-owned businesses. \nThe festival also showcases the creativity\, entrepreneurship and cultural influence of Filipino Americans\, welcoming longtime fans of Filipino food and culture as well as those experiencing them for the first time. \nNow in its second Filipino American History Month edition\, UbeFest is designed as a gathering place for the broader Southern California community\, offering a weekend to eat\, discover\, celebrate and connect. \nUbeFest FAHM 2026 runs from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday\, Oct. 3\, and from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday\, Oct. 4.
