PCG welcomes participants of PNP-PSOSEC Class of 2014-87 and 88

LOS ANGELES – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles hosted a dinner reception on 30 April 2014 in honor of the Philippine National Police participants of the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course (PSOSEC) Class 2014-87 and 88.  The PNP-PSOSEC Class is headed by Police Chief Superintendent Nicolas Salvador.  Their counterparts from the Los Angeles Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) also attended the reception.  US Embassy Legal Attaché Gibson Wilson accompanied the 36-member PNP delegation from the Philippines.

The PSOSEC participants are in Los Angeles for a training program to enhance the participants’ competence level and in preparation for their assumption to higher command positions in provincial, regional and national levels in the Philippine National Police.

This partnership between the PNP and the FBI is on its 9th year.  It has deepened the law-enforcement cooperation between the Philippines and the U.S.  This is the 1st batch for year 2014 received by the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles.
