Rozzana Verder-AligaBringing over 25 years of experience as a parent, teacher, social worker, counselor and community volunteer, Rozzana Verder-Aliga has devoted her energies into improving the way educational services are rendered to the youth.

A member of the Solano County Board of
Education for over 12 years, Aliga believes that there should be an open communication not only among teachers, parents, and students, but also among local school boards and school districts. In her website, she stated, "It is imperative that we, as a board, convey our commitment to support local school districts. We are, after all, in this together. Iwill propose joint open forums with local school districts to encourage the flow of communication between the school community and the community at large."

Aliga also aims to provide better business/financial management support to local school districts.

A Bachelor of Arts in Music graduate from the University of the Philippines, Aliga obtained her Master of Arts in Counseling degree from the University of San Francisco and has a doctorate degree in
Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University. She is also a licensed marriage and family therapist.Aliga is also a Mental Health Services Manager for Solano County and Social Services, whose mission is to provide services for children, adolescents, adults and the elderly. Her work includes coordinating programs and collaborative partnerships with the Vallejo and Benicia Unified School Districts, Special Local Planning Area (SELPA) and other community-based organizations.

Aliga is married to US Army Reserve Colonel Nestor Aliga and they have three children, Nestor Jr, Davis Xavier and Rizal.
