Scheduled for July 11 to 16, 2017, this year’s Tour will not only reacquaint participants  from all over the United States to the enduring charms of Manila but will also provide the opportunity to visit and explore the southern city of Davao.

Touted as the cleanest and the safest city in the Philippines, Davao City is home to the country’s current leader, President Rodrigo Duterte.   Davao boasts of outstanding recreational areas like museums, nature parks, fantastic beaches and zoos, in addition to adventure activities like scuba diving, island hopping, wake boarding, white water rafting.

Participants to this year’s tour can look forward to exciting destinations and highlights, most important of which is the opportunity to have an audience with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, in addition to a dinner to be hosted by no less than Davao City Mayor Sara “Inday” Duterte.

Following is the full itinerary of the 6-day tour covering both Manila and Davao:

DAY 1: JULY 10, 2017 (Monday)

• Early morning arrival in Manila

• Welcome reception by the Department of Tourism

• Transfer to hotel/check-in

• Assembly for Malacanang Tour

• Depart hotel

• Proceed for Wreath Laying Ceremony at Rizal Park

• Running tour of Intramuros

• Proceed to Malacanang Museum Tour with lunch

• Return to hotel

• Welcome dinner hosted by Tourism  Promotions Board (TPB)

• Overnight stay at the hotel

DAY 2: JULY 11, 2017 (Tuesday)

• Breakfast at the hotel

• Check-out

• Transfer to Domestic Airport

• Leave for Davao

• Arrive in Davao International Airport

• Welcome reception at Davao International Airport by the Dept. of Tourism

• Lunch at local restaurant

• Afternoon at Malagos Resort and Philippine Eagle Center Tour

DAY 3: JULY 12, 2017 (Wednesday)

• Breakfast at hotel

• Audience with President Rodrigo Roa Duterte

• Lunch at local restaurant

• Afternoon Davao City Tour

• Visit the Crocodile Park for reptilian adventures. Get to know “Pangil” the 2nd largest crocodile in captivity and “Buloy” the friendly 15ft python. Just nearby is the Tribung K’Mindanawan where it showcases our rich cultural heritage and replicas of the different tribal houses in the region. Amaze on the vast collections of animal skeleton at the Bone Museum. Sample on the local fruits and bountiful harvest of Davao such as the pomelo, mangosteen, marang or take your first whiff of the Durian at the fruit market. Otherwise settle for the candies at the Durian Candy Factory or the Durian Flavoured Cappuccino.

• A scenic view of Davao from the top of the Shrine hill at the Holy Infant Jesus or at the Jack’s Ridge. Visit the Museo Dabawenyo where it houses the rich collection of Davao’s History displayed in their galleries. Bargain for some souvenirs at the Aldevinco Souvenir Shops. After the tour, we shall transfer you back to your hotel.

DAY 4: JULY 13, 2017 (Thursday)

• Breakfast at hotel

• Assembly at hotel lobby

• Depart for Samal Island with Lunch

• Pick up from hotel. Transfers from hotel to Sta Ana Wharf. Boat ride to Samal Island passing through Pearl Farm, Malipano Island, Wishing Island, Coral Garden, Angel’s Cove and Isla Reta. Picnic lunch will be served at the Isla Reta. Free time on the beach. Boat ride back to mainland Davao and transfers to hotel.

• Overnight stay at the hotel

DAY 5: JULY 14, 2017 (Friday)

• Breakfast at hotel

• Check-out

• Transfer to airport

• Depart for Manila

• Arrive Manila
