A year after his failed relationship, Rocco Nacino shared the most valuable lesson he learned from staying single.
It can be recalled that the former “Encantadia” star broke up with actress Lovi Poe after their two-year relationship in July last year, which they described as an “amicable” split.
Asked about whether his decision to stay single has anything to do with his failed relationship in the past, “Siguro, siguro. Posible. You can say that. Actually, ngayon ko lang nare-realize, oo nga ano? But every failed relationship comes a great lesson. (Yes I guess you can say that. Actually, I also realized that now. But every relationship comes a great lesson),” the actor replied.
“Masaya ako na pinagdaanan ko dahil alam ko ngayon kung paano ko dapat i-handle ang isang relationship. So lahat ng mali na ginagawa ko dati, itinatama ko ngayon. (Im happy to have gone through that because now I know how to handle a relationship. So, all the things that I failed to do in the past, I can now make it right),” he added.
Rocco will star in the upcoming indie movie, “Bar boys” which is written and directed by Kip Oebanda and produced by Tropic Fills, alongside Carlo Aquino, Kean Cipriano and his best friend Enzo Pineda. Ironically, Enzo was his rival in the GMA reality talent competition “Starstruck” in which they emerged as princes to the ultimate survivor, Steven Silva.
Asked about his friendship now that Enzo works for ABS-CBN, “Ako na lang ang GMA. nakakatuwa na kahit lumipat na siya, I’m happy for him sa move niya dahil ang dami niyang projects. Napaka-close, napaka-tight pa rin namin (I’m the only one who works in GMA. Im happy even though he switched to the other network, I’m happy for his move because he has a lot of projects now. We’re still close), he said.
The actor is happy especially now that he has a lot of time to love and understand what he truly wants for himself. As he is known for being a party-goer, he shared that he now choose to stay at home and sleep these days.
“Kasi sunud-sunod yung tapings namin, wala rin akong oras lumabas, e (I had a series of tapings so I don’t have the time to go out),” he added.
Rocco, who owns a couple of business establishments, is deviating his attention and focusing on his ventures. He owns two boxing gyms (two Elorde gyms in Ortigas and Marcos Highway) and three restaurants (Rufo’s in Timog Ave., Backyard in The Fort, and Yuan Asian Bistro in Pasig). He plans to invest in hair products and considers putting up a company after he builds his own house.
Asked if he is building his home for his own family, the actor shared, “Oo. Actually, iyon ang built niya, for my family na talaga, (Yes. Actually, it’s built for that purpose, for my own family).”
