For the last week of February, we kicked off Monday with Employment Attorney Joe Sayas on the show, who gave advice for healthcare employers. For our Buwan Ng Pagibig initiative, couples shared their love story, and a women panel with LA18 Host Kat Iniba, Theater Maker Alison Dela Cruz, Professor Carol Kimbrough and Community Leader Norma Austin discussed issues about relationships. We also re-aired our episode with KC Conception due to popular demand! We ended the week with the best Pun Plip Priday’s “News Ba” segments.
As we usher in March, writer and journalist Caroline Kennedy—an honorary Filipina of the 60s—comes on air on Monday. On Tuesday, we have a LIVE show with Aquino & Loew, who answer your immigration questions. On Wednesday, we have Asian Journal correspondent Annie Nepomuceno on air, who gives us the top news of the week. Nieves Villamin talks about her winery, Eden Canyon Vineyards, and her memoir “Bittermelons & Mimosas.” On Friday, get to know the amazing work that BAYAN-USA does. BAYAN-USA is an alliance of 18 progressive Filipino organizations in the U.S. representing students, scholars, women, workers, artists, and youth.
