The concert also launched current and upcoming GMA shows including the new game show Don’t Lose The Money with Tom Rodriguez as the new host and the primetime hit series My Destiny which stars Tom with Carla Abellana as his leading lady. While promoting his new game show, Tom serenaded the audience. Carla performed swoon-worthy song So It’s You with Tom to the audience’s delight.

Prior to the show, the Kapuso stars attended a press conference held at the Kusina Filipina in Eagle Rock on September 26. The celebrities shared failures and successes in their professional careers.

Carla, the daughter of veteran actor Rey ‘PJ’ Abellana, told the media that working in the entertainment industry is a healthy competition. She is set to star alongside Dennis Trillo in the fifteenth installment of horror flick Shake, Rattle and Roll.

Tom, a former ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother housemate, shared that working in all three major Philippine television networks (ABS-CBN, TV5 and GMA7) helped him “to grow as an actor and have the opportunity to work with various professional actors and actresses. Tom also stated that he is treated well, as a family member at GMA. He admitted that he went through audition for the role of Vincent from the hit television series My Husband’s Lover and as a game show host for Don’t Lose The Money. He is currently working in a remake of the horror film Tiyanak with Teleserye Queen Judy Ann Santos.

Betong Sumaya, a former production staff and now known for his tag line ‘Amazing,’ never expected and felt blessed to be part of the showbiz industry. Sumaya also said that he owed his success to learning from Michael V’s stand-up skits. Michael V is one of the main cast of Bubble Gang.

Miguel Tanfelix, a Starstruck Kids alumnus, said that loyalty is the most important key to continue loving his work. He also thanked the Kapuso viewers abroad who watched and supported his primetime TV series Niño. Like Sumaya, Tanfelix shared that the US trip was his first time.
