ACTOR Derek Ramsay dismissed rumors about him transferring to another television station.
“Wala, wala pa (None, there’s none yet),” he told Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), denying that he already talked to another network.
“I think it would be very disrespectful for me to entertain other offers,” the 40-year-old model said. Nonetheless, he thought these offers were not serious.
Ramsay transferred to TV5 in 2012 after being with ABS-CBN for six years. Although there was no announcement that he was banned from the station after leaving, ABS-CBN allegedly have had bad blood with the actor.
During the promotion of the movie “A Secret Affair” with Anne Curtis on the same year he left, Derek’s name was not mentioned while promoting the movie on ABS-CBN shows.
However, Ramsay already made it clear that he’s already in good terms with ABS-CBN.
“Nag-movie na nga kami ni Coleen. May project kaming naka-line-up ni Bea. Nag-guesting na ko sa GGV, nag-guesting na ko kay Kuya Boy [Abunda] (I made a movie with Coleen Garcia. Bea Alonzo and I have a new project coming up. I guested in GGV, I guested with Boy Abunda),” Ramsay said. “So hindi na ako banned sa ABS (So I’m not banned in ABS-CBN anymore),” he added.
When asked if there’s a possibility for him to return to the Kapamilya network, the former ABS-CBN talent said, “TV5 is my priority.”
He said that TV5 considers his interest when they offer him a project that’s why he accepts them. “I was never forced to do a project in TV5,” Ramsay added.
Right now, they are conceptualizing a new program which will tackle the stories and lives of young athletes.
Ramsay is almost six years under TV5 and he expressed how he doesn’t have any regrets for transferring.
“When we sat and we talked, they said ‘hey, we’re very happy with what you’ve done and we want you to sign on for another three years.’ No hesitation, I said yes,” the actor said.
