Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin bagged the Best Supporting Actress award at the 57th Asia-Pacific Film Festival held at Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Locsin won the award for her 2016 comedy-drama film “Everything About Her” with multi-awarded actress Vilma Santos and Xian Lim.
In the movie, the 32-year-old actress played the role of a nurse who took care of a cancer-stricken career woman.
“Thank you very, very much for this incredible honor,” she wrote in an Instagram repost of the trophy from the international film festival shot by Star Cinema’s Mico Del Rosario.
Locsin was not present during the awarding ceremony so Filipino director Will Fredo accepted the award on her behalf.
The dramatic film also won Locsin her first Best Supporting Actress at the Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards for Movies (EDDYs) by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).
In 2009, she was nominated as Best Actress for her television series “Lobo” at the 37th International Emmy Awards in the United States.
