Unlocking the gates of blessings through gratitude

THANKSGIVING DAY goes beyond turkey dinner and Black Friday shopping. It is that season when families get together not just to wine and dine and be merry. It is also that time when we remind ourselves of the blessings we have already received and the things that matter most to us.
Let me share with you some of my favorite quotes  (brainyquotes) on gratitude. I hope these will set the tone for our preparation for Christmas and the new year to come:
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.  — Melody Beattie
Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings. — William Arthur Ward
At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.  — Albert Schweitzer
Joy is the simplest form of gratitude. — Karl Barth
When we focus on our gratitude, the tide of disappointment goes out and the tide of love rushes in. —  Kristin Armstrong
Give yourself a gift of five minutes of contemplation in awe of everything you see around you. Go outside and turn your attention to the many miracles around you. This five-minute-a-day regimen of appreciation and gratitude will help you to focus your life in awe. — Wayne Dyer
Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world. — John Milton
HAPPY THANKSGIVING !
