DUE to the success of the Gala Night Performance on May 17, 2009, FASO will have its very own Christmas concert on Sunday, December 6, 5pm at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Asian Journal Foundation, Inc. cordially invites you to Handog ng FASO sa PASKO.
Loosely translated to "FASO’s Gift for Christmas," Handog ng FASO sa PASKO will celebrate the joyful spirit of Christmas back home in the Philippines . Christmas is the most anticipated season of the year, and singing carols is a regular tradition practiced in Filipino culture. With its more than 60 members, FASO will share its gift for Christmas with traditional Holiday songs both in English and Tagalog. The event will also feature renowed soloists and a mixed Filipino chorale group and children’s choir.
Handog ng FASO sa PASKO will provide an opportunity to gather the Filipino American community together in celebration of the Christmas season. This event will also mark the initial Holiday concert of the Filipino-American Symphony Orchestra (FASO), the ever-first Filipino symphony orchestra outside of the Philippines . FASO is committed to increase the appreciation and engagement of richly orchestrated symphony by allowing others to find their Filipino identity through music and the arts.
