Today, I will present a case study that combines all of the elements mentioned in previous articles regarding using feng shui principles to build a strong business empire. I have changed the entrepreneur’s name to Sarah for privacy.
Sarah’s upbringing is important to the story of her success. As an only child whose parents separated at a very young age, Sarah’s mother worked very hard to raise her and instilled in her that she could do anything she set her mind to. Sarah recalls her mother sending her on an errand by herself when she was only seven years old. Though she was afraid and reluctant to go, her mother believed in her and insisted that she could do it. Sarah did as her mother said. Through that experience and many similar ones, she developed the confidence that has shaped her character and been a driving force in reaching her goals.
An initial birth chart reading revealed that Sarah is a businesswoman through and through. The stars all related to enterprise and the potential to expand her business on many levels. Sarah’s potential is extremely high and she should be well received by rich and famous clientele. She was also just entering the prime, ten-year career cycle of her life. Everything was synchronized.
Her business - a skin and body care salon – was already set up, but it was fairly new and her main concern was her staff. There was a lot of gossip and turn around among her employees, which created instability in her business.
Sarah’s salon is located in a prime pedestrian traffic are, and the building she occupies sits northeast and faces southwest, which is very compatible to her and also strong during the 7 and 8 cycles. Sarah’s personal station is compatible to her in the southwest sector, but the manager’s office was not compatible to him, the cashier station was not compatible to the cashier, and only a couple of her staff were compatible to her and located in their compatible direction.
After relocating her staff, adjusting the cashier and reception areas, giving the salon a new color scheme, adjusting each treatment room and station, and recommending a new location for the manager, Sarah’s business has grown significantly each subsequent year. Troublesome staff left of their own accord and a new, better-suited staff was hired. To date, Sarah makes sure her staff is compatible with her and is very good about doing her feng shui annual adjustments. Whenever she can, she consults me on her product art, packaging, logo, and colors.
Aside from the feng shui, Sarah created a niche utilizing her background in fine arts, and approaching cosmetics, face, skin, and body care from an artistic perspective using only the best ingredients. She educated her clients, focused on the individual, and created special techniques and her own signature products. She now focuses on mass distribution and internationally franchising her salons. I have helped her select her new distribution office since she has developed her own cosmetic line, so she now has a separate warehouse and distribution office that properly matches her status and gives her plenty of space to expand.
