Top ten steamy showbiz dads

Once again, I’d like to thank everyone who supported the Beautiful Life! Event--AToast to Ruffa Gutierrez last June 28. It’s very humbling to see the extended media coverage of the event on TV Patrol, Balitang Amerika, and Ruffa & Ai, among others. Maraming salamat! I’ve decided to make this week’s column all about fathers. I’m afraid failed to pay tribute to all the great dads during Father’s Day so here’s my belated effort.

This list is composed of the inexhaustible fathers in Philippine showbiz. Besides being fine actors, they are first and foremost devoted family men. Higit sa lahat, guwapo pa rin!

They have made the effort to preserve their matinee idol good looks! And it shows! Maraming mga baguhang artista na ang nagdatingan at nag-alisan ngunit sila ay nananatili pa rin sa estado nila ngayon.

The list hereby goes:

	1. Christopher De Leon -- deep, sensitive actor who also happens to be classically good-looking. He’s been very memorable in the many dramatic roles he’s played. Boyet has continued to grow as an artist and his kaguwapuhan through time has only increased. He’s maintained an active and healthy lifestyle--thus the lean and muscular body. Most of all, a devoted father and husband to Sandy Andolong. Mabuhay ka, Boyet!
	2. Richard Gomez- RP’s benchmark for Adonis is still sizzling hot in whichever angle you look! Tall, dark and handsome, indeed. He’s had a successful career all through the years because of his professionalism and great talent. As a natural athlete, syempre he has maintained his slender body. Kaguwapuhan pa rin hanggang ngayon! very dedicated father to Juliana and a loyal husband to Lucy Torres.
	3. Aga Muhlach - Who can resist that sweet, dimpled smile? Still youthful and charming, Aga still continues to melt hearts to this day. He’s had an amazing career as a teen heart-throb and a sought-after leading man. doting dad to his twins and loving partner to Charlene Gonzales.
	4. Gabby Concepcion -- His explosive return to the Philippines really thrilled many ‘80s movie fans! After many years of absence, he still excites and draws stares from ladies and, of course, gays. It’s because of that flawless skin and intoxicating smile! Yet, underneath that handsome grin lies the heart of a commited father to his young children and the most famous of his daughters, KCConcepcion.
	5. Cesar Montano - His athletic build and golden brown complexion are manifestations of his sporty lifestyle. His sex appeal is still a point of conversation in many circles! Napakahusay na aktor and possesses a career that has remained solidly active throughout the years. Cesar is also a thoughtful father to both his grown and young children.
	6. Albert Martinez - If you look at a picture of Albert in the ‘80s and now, you’ll hardly see a difference. Maybe you can detect more wisdom in his eyes but as far as his overall good looks is concerned, there is no mistaking that Albert’s still got it! Time has been good to him. Also a fine actor who has one of the more enduring careers among his peers. He’s set a good example for his children with Liezl.
	7. Bong Revilla - With the charming chinito eyes that surface whenever he laughs, Bong still turns heads wherever he goes. This dashing debonair has transitioned from actor to public servant smoothly. Also a grade A dad to his children with wife Lani Mercado. Now, he’s even a young grandpa. Still, you have to admit, there is nothing quite lolo about his itsura!
	8. Jestoni Alarcon - This mestizo actor has had career longevity because of his exemplary talent and work ethic. Being a family man has not diminished his star quality at all.
	9. Edu Manzano - No doubt, this leading man has had a remarkable career. A successful dramatic actor turned public servant turned game show host. Guwapo pa rin hanggang ngayon, honest!
	10. Willie Revillame - Willie’s appeal is undeniably overpowering. So he is not what you might describe as classically handsome but still, many find his sense of humor sexy. He is particularly attractive to young, beautiful girls. Goes to show, funny can be sexy when worn by Willie.

A moment for Dani

A dear friend, Dani Ancog, passed away last July 2nd. That following Sunday, several of his close friends held a small memorial for him where we reflected on the selfless life he led. He was such a kind and generous person, always willing to offer his help. He held many roles--all of which he played so well--florist, private nurse, singer, dancer, performer and best of all, generous friend. Dani, you will be missed! We offer our sincerest condolences to Dani’s family and his loving partner Karl. Let’s take a moment to offer our prayers for Dani and his loved ones...
