THE Philippine-New York Junior Chamber (Jaycees), Inc. cordially invites everyone to three of their upcoming projects. These three projects highlight the variety in the programs run by the chapter for their members and for the community.
Career Management in Tough Economic Times —a free workshop on Sept. 22 presented by Caroline Ceniza-Levine of SixFigureStart. If you are looking to explore the possibilities in your career and mingle with other professionals, join the Jaycees in this interactive workshop and networking event at the MetLife Building on 1095 Avenue of the Americas. “Project Sayaw” Dance Workshop Series —a series of beginner’s ballroom and hip hop dance workshops including: Hustle (9/23), West Coast Swing (9/30), Salsa (10/7), Hip Hop (10/14), and Tango (10/21). Each workshop costs $10 for members and $15 for non-members. For the complete series, members pay $40 and non-members $60. The two-hour workshops will begin at 7:30pm and will be held at Shetler Studios on 244 W. 54th Street, Suite 1206. Mascarade—a night of music and dancing on October 30, 2009 at 7pm. To celebrate Halloween, the Jaycees have put together a masquerade ball in the Roger Smith Hotel Penthouse at 501 Lexington Ave. at 47th St. Tickets to the event are $20 each. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit “Nothing but Nets,” a grassroots campaign by the United Nations Foundation to prevent malaria.

The Philippine-New York Junior Chamber (Jaycees), Inc. is a group of young men and women, whose mission is to develop leaders who will create positive change in the local and global community and their own lives through management training and networking opportunities. Their vision is to be the premier leadership organization for young people and entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 to 40 that offers quality projects, balanced programming, and opportunities to network with other organizations within the framework of community service and to further the movement of Junior Chamber International.
